It’s that time of year again…
COVID case counts are rising.
Fortunately, though, we have updated COVID vaccines to protect us.
Why I Just Got a Dose of the Updated COVID Vaccine
Updated COVID vaccines that many people will skip, even if they are in a high-risk group, because anti-vaccine influencers have tricked them into believing propaganda that these vaccines are dangerous, don’t work, or aren’t necessary.
Propaganda that has led to unnecessary suffering and deaths, as unprotected people got sick and died.

Propaganda that has put high-risk children and adults at risk for severe COVID, especially when they have a contraindication to getting vaccinated.
And that’s why I just got another COVID vaccine.
A COVID vaccine updated for the 2026-27 season.
My 8th dose since the start of the pandemic, a COVID vaccine that will hopefully keep me healthy and prevent me from getting my elderly parents sick (yes, COVID vaccines do prevent transmission!) and any kids I see in the office who might be immunocompromised or have other high-risk conditions.
Another dose of the COVID vaccine that I am happy was available this year!
What else?
Not everyone is on their 8th dose.
Folks who are over 65 years old or immunocompromised have likely received more doses.
Lastly, if you are still on the fence or against getting a COVID vaccine, please review all of our articles below debunking the misinformation and propaganda that has likely influenced you away from getting vaccinated and protected.
