Have you seen posts from Senator Johnson and Senator Paul talking about texts from Anthony Fauci’s government iPhone?

The initial texts from Dr. Fauci’s government iPhone are not the bombshell anti-vaccine influencers were hoping for.

Will you be surprised to hear that it isn’t any kind of ‘gotcha’ evidence against COVID vaccines that these guys think it is?

So what did they release?

They released a 2021 text chain between Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Rochelle Walensky, the director of the CDC, and Vivek Murthy, the Surgeon General.

While listed by Senator Johnson, let’s be clear that James Thorp was not part of the text chain and his opinions were not a part of the discussion by Fauci, Walensky, and Murthy!

A text chain in which Dr. Fauci explained why COVID vaccines should be available to pregnant women - if they want one.

At the time of this text, the recommendation for pregnant women was that they could receive a COVID vaccine if they wanted one. There was no formal recommendation for pregnant women to get vaccinated.

A text chain in which he did mention a theoretical risk for miscarriage in the 1st trimester.

Fauci talked about a theoretical risk before studies had been done on pregnant woman and before there was a formal recommendation that they be vaccinated. And before studies were done that found that there was no risk!

A risk for miscarriage that went from “theoretical” to “is not a risk” when further safety studies were done!

They couldn’t even convince Alex Berenson that this was a big deal!

A risk that was gone by the time COVID vaccines became recommended during pregnancy, in April, 2021, (at least by CDC Director Rochelle Walensky…). At that time, a large safety report had been published that found no “obvious safety signals among pregnant persons who received mRNA Covid-19 vaccines.”

“When compared to the expected range of SABs in recognized pregnancies, these data suggest receipt of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine preconception or during pregnancy is not associated with an increased risk of SAB. These findings add to accumulating evidence that mRNA COVID-19 vaccines during pregnancy are safe.”

Next, in August, 2021, another even larger safety study also found that COVID vaccines were safe during pregnancy and the CDC formally began recommending them “for everyone aged 12 or older, including people who were pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to become pregnant, or might become pregnant.”

Since then, there have been many more studies, including one that compared vaccinated vs unvaccinated pregnant women. Not surprisingly, it found no relation between COVID vaccines and miscarriage.

Lastly, studies have found that getting a COVID vaccine actually reduced a woman’s risk of having a miscarriage!

“This systematic review and meta-analysis summarise current data on COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness and safety during pregnancy. The mRNA vaccines appear highly effective against SARS-CoV-2 in pregnancy. The incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes was not increased among vaccinated compared with unvaccinated pregnancies. In fact, the incidence of stillbirths and possibly, preterm births, was lower among the vaccinated pregnant population. Importantly, there was no increased risk of miscarriage following COVID-19 vaccination, based on data from large national registries and reports of inadvertent exposures in early pregnancy during RCTs.”

Not surprisingly, neither Senator Johnson nor Senator Paul mention any of this.

Instead, they post an open letter from James Thorp, an anti-vaccine OB-Gyn doctor who claims a vaccine safety study had an 82% miscarriage rate, even though it published a much lower rate.

How?

He miscalculates the rate after he removes all of the women who received a vaccine in their third trimester, ignoring all of the women who received their vaccine in their first trimester.

How bad do you have to be to get fact-checked by another anti-vaccine influencer?!?

A move so bad, that Thorp couldn’t even convince other anti-vaccine influencers that it was true!

And yet, five years later, Senator Johnson and Senator Paul are republishing his error and propaganda!

Bottom line - COVID vaccines do not cause miscarriages, and Anthony Fauci helped lead us out of the COVID pandemic, despite what these folks who want to try to rewrite history are saying.
