An Update on the Donald Trump/RFK, Jr Measles Outbreaks
In just the past two years, while Donald Trump and Secretary RFK, Jr have been in charge, we have seen:
two deaths in Pennsylvania, including a newborn baby (2026)
two deaths in unvaccinated children in Texas (2025)
one death in an unvaccinated adult in New Mexico (2025)
one SSPE death (2025)
at least one infant with meningoencephalitis who was born to an unvaccinated mother with measles in Texas (2025)
at least two unvaccinated children with measles encephalitis in South Carolina, both of whom required prolonged hospitalization and had residual effects (2026)
at least 436 hospitalizations, the majority of which have been children, with very few of them known to be completely vaccinated with two doses of the MMR vaccine
a lot of missed school days because kids are sick or in quarantine
the return of endemic measles in the United States - you can wait for the November meeting for it to be official…

These measles outbreaks are costing hudreds of millions of dollars to contain.
