The thing is, that there might only be one to three human rabies cases per year in the United States is because public health workers do a lot of great work to protect us from rabies.
After all, about 50,000 people in the United States receive rabies post-exposure prophylaxis each year after a rabies exposure.
And about 90,000 samples are tested each year to see if they are contaminated with the rabies virus!
Rabies testing that is no longer being done at the CDC because of RFK Jr’s staff cuts!
