Why Are Rates of Autism in France So Low?
The Real Truth about Vaccines
Can you guess why rates of autism in France are so low?
After all, France has one of the lowest rates of autism in the world, at about 1 in 144 children, which is considerably lower than the 1 in 31 rate in the United States.
Why Are Rates of Autism in France So Low?
Now if you have been listening to RFK Jr or other anti-vaccine influencers, there could be only reason for such low autism rates in France!
They either must give far fewer vaccines than we do in the United States, or their immunization rates must be far lower than ours, right?

Nope.
The immunization schedules in France and the United States are very similar, except that France gives a few extra meningococcal vaccines to infants.
“The proportion of infants, children under 1 year old, receiving a hexavalent vaccine increased from 93.1% in 2017 to 98.6% in 2018, corresponding to an increase of VC against hepatitis B from around 92% in 2017 to 98% in 2018.”

And the great majority of parents in France do vaccinate their kids.
So you would expect that they would have similar rates of autism as the United States, right?
But they don’t…
If it isn’t vaccines, then why are rates of autism in France so low?
“France has a problem with autism. The country’s highest administrative court estimates that there are 700,000 autistic people in France. However, only 75,000 are diagnosed. Autistic children have historically been diagnosed later in France than in neighboring countries. They have often been excluded from mainstream education and lacked access to support services and extracurricular activities.”
France has an autism problem
The rate of autism in France is low because of the very simple reason that they don’t work to diagnosis their children with autism.
“Campaign groups and lawyers have described France as being “50 years behind” the rest of the world in its attitude towards autism, with an overreliance on outdated psychoanalytical approaches.”

Undiagnosed, untreated, and not allowed to go to school, many are instead hidden away in psychiatric hospitals and institutions.
Makes you want to double-check the autism rates in your community, doesn’t it?
And in France?
The European Committee of Social Rights (ECSR) continues its declaration that they are violating the rights of people with disabilities, including that “autistic people in France continue to be denied adequate access to education, employment, support services and healthcare.”
Bottom line - autism rates are directly proportional to having access to support services and screening and is not associated with vaccines.
“Cultural stigma, lack of awareness about mental health and poor medical infrastructure have led to inaccurate diagnoses and artificially low autism prevalence in many countries around the world, epidemiologists say.”
