What’s the Worst Thing About That Study of Deaths Following MMR Vaccination Going Around?
Yet another preprint by Peter McCullough and Nicolas Hulscher that is pure anti-vaccine propaganda.
Can you guess the worst thing about that so-called study of deaths following MMR vaccination that is going around?
What’s the Worst Thing About That Study of Deaths Following MMR Vaccination Going Around?
No, it’s not that it is just a pre-print and not any kind of real study that was actually published in a medical journal with peer-review.

The Deaths Following MMR Vaccination As an Anti-Vaccine Talking Point
And it’s not that the deaths following MMR vaccination pre-print basically copies an anti-vaccine talking point that was going around last year.

An anti-vaccine talking point that we easily refuted - last year…
How?
Well, we simply pointed out that these folks are abusing VAERS to push the idea that these are vaccine deaths. But, as everyone knows, VAERS is a passive reporting system and can’t prove that a vaccine caused an adverse event.

In fact, it sometimes shows that getting a vaccine was just a coincidence and that the child died of another reason.
Not surprisingly, these are all counted as ‘vaccine deaths’ by the McCullough/Hulscher preprint, as they didn’t include the Adverse Event Description field from the VAERS reports in his study.
That’s still not the worst thing about this ‘study’ though…
Anti-Vaccine Influencers Launder New Study Across Social Media
How about the fact that anti-vaccine influencers are jumping over themselves to praise and launder this new ‘study’ across their social media accounts and websites?

That’s pretty bad, considering we are in the middle of the largest measles outbreak in over thirty years, in which at least one child has measles encephalitis…
The Worst Thing About That Study of Deaths Following MMR Vaccination Going Around
Still, the very worst thing about this ‘study’ about deaths following MMR vaccination has to be the way they exaggerate vaccine deaths and minimize deaths from actually having measles.
How do they do that?
Well, for one thing, they count each and every death in VAERS as a vaccine death, even though very few of them have ever been found to be truly a cause of someone’s death.

For this study, though, they are all vaccine deaths, even those that are clearly not caused by a vaccine, like this child who died with a Haemophilus influenzae infection.
But then, not surprisingly, they use a much stricter criterion when counting measles deaths.
“In contrast, measles infection–associated mortality in the US has been exceedingly rare in the modern era. CDC surveillance and mortality analyses document 7 measles-related deaths since 1995, including one death in 1996 identified through National Center for Health Statistics review and six additional deaths reported in 2003 (n=2), 2015 (n=1), and 2025 (n=3) 8,9.”
Deaths Following MMR and MMRV Vaccination in the United States
What’s wrong with that?
It misses a lot of measles deaths!
Measles deaths that can easily be found in the CDC Wonder database, a CDC surveillance and mortality analyses system that they conveniently left out of their ‘study.’

Looking at the CDC Wonder database, you can clearly see that there are 21 measles deaths from 1995-1998, a time when the ‘study’ found just one.
And add in another 53 deaths from 1999 to 2020.
Plus, at least two more SSPE deaths since 2020 and three more measles deaths.
Which leaves us with a total of at least 79 measles deaths since 1995 in the United States vs. the seven listed in the ‘study.’
Surprised?
You shouldn’t be.
That’s how anti-vaccine propaganda works!
They overstate vaccine side effects and minimize the real risks of a natural infection.
Don’t be fooled anymore.
Stop the outbreaks.

When Measles is Allowed to Run Its Usual Course, Kids Can Die

McCullough's grift group exists to give the false impression that there are "independent scientists" independently (of Children's Health Defense) showing their antivax "research", when in reality this is all being carefully coordinated by Kennedy who conveniently fired all the FOIA people at HHS so we can't examine his emails anytime this side of 2030.
I will guarantee there is AI slop in all this garbage they are posting on Zenodo, esp given Brian Hooker thanked his AI guy on one of his Zenodo PDFs https://bsky.app/profile/cphickie.bsky.social/post/3mf3kakf23s2u
