We Don’t Need to Worry About Vaccines Vanishing

What happens in 25 years if vaccines vanish?

What about the horrors that are coming over the next few years because of RFK Jr.?

In case you were wondering, researchers at Stanford have modeled what happens if vaccines vanish.

As you would expect, a lot of people will die with now vaccine preventable diseases, like measles, diphtheria, polio, and rubella, etc.

We Don’t Need to Worry About Vaccines Vanishing

Of course, that’s not what we should be worrying about though…

Unless everything falls apart, we are not going to lose all vaccines to the point where these diseases are able to come back to the level that they were in the pre-vaccine era.

So what should we be worrying about?

We should all be worrying about what happens now and over the next few years as measles and other vaccine-preventable diseases surge.

One thing that would ease some of this worry is if RFK Jr. wasn’t in charge of our public health systems! Hopefully the damage RFK Jr. is doing to our public health systems won’t get in the way of our being able to stop the ever large outbreaks of measles and other vaccine preventable diseases that are coming.

And then?

And then, like every other cycle when anti-vaccine influencers have gotten extra attention and have been able to convince a lot of people to skip or delay getting vaccinated, most people will start getting vaccinated again.

It won’t take 15 years or 25 years, and we won’t lose all of our vaccines…

It is well known that the message of a vocal minority of anti-vaccine influencers is more easily heard when vaccine-preventable diseases are well controlled. After all, everyone forgets just how bad these diseases are and can blame everything that happens to them on a vaccine injury.

People will start having confidence in vaccines again once hundreds of kids start dying with measles or pertussis or diphtheria or tetanus…

And that’s what is coming.

And again, it won’t take 25 years.

It has started and will be happening over the next one or two years.

It will be happening unless most people stop listening to anti-vaccine influencers, and they get vaccinated now to help stop the outbreaks.

PS - We might start worrying about if we are going to get an updated COVID vaccine if we need it, as a new COVID variant has appeared.
