Donald Trump has been talking about vaccines again.
What has he been saying this time?
Not surprisingly, it is hard to say!
While he talks about smaller shots and spreading out vaccines, he gives two different plans on how to spread them out - in the same sentence!
Does he want to spread out vaccines over six months or give them every six months?

Of course, either plan will mean that kids will be unprotected and at risk to get a vaccine-preventable disease until they are ultimately caught up.
And nothing he said is true or makes any sense.
What else did he say?
Donald Trump said that kids get:
a massive dose of vaccines pumped into them - they don’t
82 or 88 different vaccines - they don’t
a 109 temperature the day after their vaccines - they don’t
And he says that:
certain vaccines aren’t needed until kids are older - they are
his plan will lead to a “massive reduction in autism” - it won’t. Vaccines are not associated with autism.
kids will get smaller doses of vaccines - this makes no sense!
What does he leave out?
That his plan would lead to even more people getting sick with life-threatening, vaccine-preventable diseases, as their vaccines are delayed or skipped.
And yes, it would mean even more people dying with these diseases that his plan would bring back.
Oh, and he also leaves out that even when children get a 6-in-1 combination vaccine, the kind that is used in all of Europe, the dose is only 0.5ml in total volume!
That’s only 10% of the volume of a teaspoon…
It is not a massive or tremendous dose.
What else?
The vaccines we give today are much purer than those given in the 1950s to 1980s, so today, even with more vaccines, they actually get far fewer antigens in those vaccines than kids used to get!
In fact, one dose of the DPT vaccine had 3,002 antigens, which is more than they get now from all the vaccine doses they get from every dose on the entire childhood and teen immunization schedule!
Lastly, if people keep listening to these kinds of anti-vaccine influencers, all we are going to see is more measles, more pertussis, and the return of diphtheria, congenital rubella syndrome, and other vaccine-preventable diseases.
