What Happened to the Disinformation Dozen?

Have you seen the posts from anti-vaccine influencers claiming that being on the Disinformation Dozen list nearly wiped them out?

It was never just about the Disinformation Dozen. Misinformation comes from a lot of different places and many of these folks were simply replaced by others who became more popular.

Do you buy it?

What Happened to the Disinformation Dozen?

I mean, get real…

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr was on the original Disinformation Dozen list.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr is now Secretary of HHS!

And the others on the list?

Of the top 5 podcasts on Spotify, four regularly push misinformation and propaganda about vaccines.

They didn’t adapt to a changing environment of misinformation and propaganda and were simply replaced.

And sadly, one did die at an early age.

Rashid Buttar believes he developed a stroke and myocarditis from spike protein shedding, as he had never had a COVID vaccine, and then later poisoned after an interview on CNN…

Peter McCullough believes that he is the most accomplished expert on vaccines in the United States today! In reality, he has simply become the most popular person pushing misinformation about vaccines.

The rest are still around though, but they can’t keep up with folks like Peter McCullough, who seems to be everywhere and churns out bogus pre-prints nearly every other day.

Unfortunately, not having the Disinformation Dozen at the top of the pack doesn’t mean less disinformation…

People are getting hit with much more disinformation these days, as the current batch of people pushing fake news about vaccines have it down to a science!

At the latest Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) meeting, experts advised that “Emerging challenges for the future include uncertain funding for vaccine research and development, and misinformation and distorted information that erodes public trust in vaccines. Protecting trust and countering misinformation will be a central focus in 2026.”

And that’s why vaccination rates continue to drop, even as we are seeing the effects of low vaccine rates - more outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases.

That’s why it is important that everyone learn to be more skeptical and see through their misinformation!
