I guess anti-vaccine influencers got new talking points today. They are pushing the idea that people who are vaccinated shouldn’t be so worried about the ever-growing measles outbreaks.

And to tell you the truth, most of us aren’t.
At least we aren’t worried about ourselves.
The Intentionally Unvaccinated Aren’t Worried About Your Getting Measles
Of course, though, there are many other people that we are worried about.
With measles cases rising out of control in more places, we are worried about the:
newborn and younger infant who is too young to be vaccinated
older infant who is too young to be vaccinated on a routine schedule and too young to be fully vaccinated - although they can get an early MMR beginning at six months
younger child who is too too young to be fully vaccinated on a routine schedule - although they can get an early second MMR as long as it has been four weeks after their first MMR at 12 months
children and adults who were born with immune system problems and who can’t be vaccinated
children and adults who developed immune system problems and who either can’t be vaccinated and/or their immunity has worn off. This includes those with cancer being treated with chemotherapy, anyone on immunosuppressing medicines, those who have had a transplant, and children and adults with other serious immune conditions.
children and adults with a severe allergy to the MMR vaccine and who can’t be vaccinated
We are worried about the millions of children and adults who are unnecessarily put at extra risk during measles outbreaks.
And unlike the those who are intentionally unvaccinated, for these children and adults, it was not their choice to take on this extra risk.

An extra risk that anti-vaccine influencers entirely ignore.
