The bmj (British Medical Journal) is at it again.
They have published yet another piece that anti-vaccine influencers are salivating over, laundering it across their social media accounts and websites.
The BMJ Is Once Again Providing Fuel for Anti-Vaccine Influencers
This time, the bmj published an “investigation” about COVID vaccine safety signals.
“US officials embraced an algorithm for detecting signals of harm from mRNA covid-19 vaccines that they knew was broken and suppressed efforts to fix it.”

In this investigation by David Willman, we once again learn that VAERS isn’t perfect and that Ana Szarfman had an idea to make it better, with a new bayesian data mining algorithm.
The problem with her idea?
There is no link between COVID vaccines and sudden cardiac death, Bell’s palsy, and pulmonary infarction, and many of the other “statistically significant safety signals for adverse events” that Ana Szarfman was supposed to be able to uncover with her new data mining system.
And instead of brushing her off, it is likely that they just didn’t want to change things up so dramatically in the middle of the pandemic!
Still, why didn’t the US discover the myocarditis signal any earlier, especially when it had already been detected in Israel?
Could it be that off the bat, Israel was vaccinating all of their citizens, with no restrictions based on age?
In contrast, during the first few months, it was mostly high-risk folks who got a COVID vaccine in the United States.
In fact, it wasn’t until March and April that older teens and young adults were getting vaccinated.
“As of June 11, 2021, approximately 296 million doses of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines had been administered in the United States, with 52 million administered to persons aged 12–29 years; of these, 30 million were first and 22 million were second doses.”

And since myocarditis was mainly found after they got their second dose, it shouldn’t be a surprise that we didn’t see a safety signal until May.
A safety signal that was detected.
A safety signal that we were all told about.
A safety signal that shouldn’t keep anyone from getting vaccinated and protected, especially since this safety signal disappeared with the updated COVID vaccines!
