As we get close to doubling last year’s case count, Secretary RFK, Jr is finally talking about his measles outbreaks again.

And you won’t be surprised by anything he has to say…
RFK, Jr Finally Addresses His Measles Outbreaks
Why won’t you be surprised?
Mostly because you have likely heard it all before.
“U.S. Rep. Jen Kiggans (R) and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. held a closed-door roundtable with medical professionals at the Regional Health Professions Center at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach.”
In closing weeks of campaign, Rep. Jen Kiggans stumps with HHS Secretary RFK Jr. in Virginia Beach
While campaigning with Rep. Jen Kiggans, Secretary RFK, Jr spoke at a press conference and repeated his usual talking points, including that:
“we are doing better at controlling it [measles outbreaks] than any country in the world.”- not true. In fact, many countries are doing much better than the United States!
“in all other states, we have been able to bring these
epidemicsoutbreaks to a quick halt.” - in Texas, in Kansas, in South Carolina, in Virginia… - Not true. There is an outbreak in Utah that has been ongoing since June 2025 - the longest measles outbreak in the United States in 35 years! And the outbreaks in Texas (762 cases) and South Carolina (997 cases) were not brought under control that quickly. Instead, both lasted for nearly seven months and very big.
And he completely misrepresented what is going on in Pennsylvania.
“we finally got the request in Pennsylvania. They were politicizing the outbreak there. They didn’t want our aid. They told us that they didn’t want help from the Trump administration.”
Secretary RFK, Jr
This is not true.
Pennsylvania health officials simply asked the CDC to accurately represent the count of measles deaths in their state first.
Something the CDC still hasn’t done.
In the letter sent to Schwartz on Wednesday, Bogen said that the state is already working closely with the CDC and recently made two requests for “technical assistance” from agency staff.
She said the state appreciated “the CDC professional staff’s timely and thoughtful responses.”
Since the state is still seeing measles cases and deaths, Bogen said, officials are now requesting an Epi-Aid team from the CDC.
Pa. is asking CDC for more emergency aid, but only if measles deaths are reported
Despite what Secretary RFK, Jr is saying, health officials in Pennsylvania never said that they didn’t want help from the Trump administration.
But Bogen will rescind the Epi-Aid request “if CDC is unable to transparently and accurately communicate information about those measles-associated deaths,” the letter said.
“While our professional teams have collaborated well on the measles outbreak response, including the identification and reporting of four measles-associated deaths, CDC’s public communication about the deaths has not been reflective of our close collaboration,” she wrote.
Pa. is asking CDC for more emergency aid, but only if measles deaths are reported
Instead, they had sought help a month ago, but because RFK, Jr’s CDC was politicizing the measles death count, they delayed their request.
And that still leaves us with out-of-control measles outbreaks with the most popular anti-vaccine influencer of the planet as Secretary of HHS.
An anti-vaccine influencer who continues to minimize the importance of our deadly measles outbreaks and has yet to say that measles vaccines are safe, something that might help encourage more people to get vaccinated.
