So I work in the small animal veterinary industry. Two things:
1) rabies is a *very real* issue, and if you, the owner, downplay this, you're not only gonna have a bad time, but your pet will most definitely suffer, and
2) i have found it interesting that folks will mostly still vaccinate their pets, all while poo-pooing human vaccinations.
The stats on rabies vaccine are compelling, so we agree about that. But as the number of canine vaccines required in order to board or in some cases groom dogs increases, while canine life expectancy drops and cancer rates increase, is it wrong to ask tough questions? Autism is not present among the unvaccinated Amish, but has steadily increased (along with severe allergies and ADHD) as "the Schedule" has expanded. Is it stupid to notice these obvious issues?
