Is RFK Jr Coming for Our Kids' COVID Shots?

He says kids are at no risk from COVID, even though, thousands of kids who were mostly unvaccinated, died.

In what few see as a surprise move, RFK Jr is hinting that COVID vaccines for kids will soon lose any type of official recommendation from the CDC.

More misinformation from Secretary RFK Jr.

Well, he is not just hinting at it…

“So why are we giving this to tens of millions of kids when the vaccine itself does have profound risk”

Just as he was saying before he was made Secretary of HHS…

Almost all kids who are hospitalized with COVID are unvaccinated. Which should make you think — if they are at almost no risk from COVID, why are they ending up in the hospital? Why are they dying?

But while RFK Jr thinks that kids are at “almost no risk for COVID,” folks should know that there have been:

• 776 COVID deaths in young children (0-4 years)

• 1,071 COVID deaths in older children (5-18 years)

• 9,770 cases of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) and 80 deaths. MIS-C occurs 2–6 weeks after you have COVID and is almost always in unvaccinated children.

• tens of thousands of pediatric hospitalizations, including PICU stays

• hundreds of thousands of pediatric ER visits

• at least 300,000 children with long COVID

And most of these kids who get sick were previously healthy, and they were unvaccinated.

If they have “almost no risk” from COVID, as RFK Jr says, then how has COVID become a leading cause of death for kids?

Folks should also know that COVID vaccines are safe for kids, with few risks, despite what RFK Jr might be saying.

“We’ve seen huge associations of myocarditis and pericarditis with strokes with other injuries with neurological injuries. And this was clear even in the clinical data that came out of Pfizer. There were actually more deaths - there were about 23% more deaths in the vaccine group than the placebo group.”

There are no “huge associations of myocarditis and pericarditis with strokes!”

Instead, there was a very small risk of myocarditis in teens and young adults with some COVID vaccines, but know that nearly all of these patients recovered quickly.

And this risk was not even seen with the latest, updated COVID vaccines.

What else?

Myocarditis after COVID is much worse than myocarditis after a COVID vaccine!

Oh, and COVID vaccines don’t cause strokes or neurological injuries in kids.

“Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been reported in the literature to be associated with a higher risk of stroke in young individuals with no previous risk factors.”

What is associated with having a stroke?

A natural COVID infection!

RFK Jr is also wrong about the deaths in the vaccine vs. placebo group.

While there were 21 deaths in the vaccine group and 17 in the placebo group, none were vaccine related.

Even without RFK Jr’s input, there is a good chance that ACIP was going to move away from a universal recommendation for COVID vaccination soon. In the past year, as there has been less COVID, there have been fewer hospitalizations and deaths.

Worst of all though, since ACIP was likely already moving away from a universal recommendation for COVID vaccination, all RFK Jr is doing is ensuring that even those who are high risk might not get vaccinated.
