But first, let’s start with the story that anti-vaccine influencers have been telling.
According to them, Miss Fannie Lent “was vaccinated as a child, and thereafter became a mass of running sores.”
And the real story?
Miss Fannie Lent died from tuberculosis.
She had pulmonary and intestinal tuberculosis.
And tuberculosis is almost certainly to be the cause of the “mass of running sores” that she was plagued by!
After all, tuberculosis is well known to cause:
scrofuloderma - a form of cutaneous tuberculosis in which nodules evolve to persistent draining ulcers
lupus vulgaris - a chronic form of tuberculosis in which open sores can form on the face
orificial tuberculosis - tuberculosis that spreads from an internal organ, like the intestines, to the mouth, tongue, lips, nose, etc.
What else?
While the original smallpox vaccine could cause sores, you would not expect them to persist for more than a few weeks or months.
What can you expect?
You can expect anti-vaccine influencers, like Roman Bystrianyk, to continue pushing this kind of easily refutable propaganda about vaccines…
Anti-vaccine types think/say that getting any disease after getting a vaccine means the vaccine did it, even if they're entirely unrelated.
Her death certificate says "Pulmonary Tuberculosis", but the contributing cause is "Inherited Lues", which is a pseudonym for Congenital Syphilis.
…Which can also cause skin and bone changes.
