Doctors Are Pushing Measles Misinformation
Misinformation is fueling measles outbreaks and a lot of it is now coming from doctors.
We have gotten used to anti-vaccine influencers pushing misinformation and propaganda about measles.
It is their bread and butter…
But real doctors?
Et tu medicus?
Doctors Are Pushing Measles Misinformation
There have always been a few anti-vaccine medical doctors.
Tragically, that got worse during the COVID pandemic.

And while most were initially only against COVID vaccines, many have now shifted to being fully anti-vaccine.
Mark Trozzi, for example, who lost his license to practice medicine in 2023, has recently started posting about measles.

What is he saying?
Mark Trozzi is saying that:
there were only a small amount of measles deaths in 1900 - in fact, at least 9,600 people died with measles in 1900! And nearly all were young children.
measles is an old fashion mild disease of childhood with a rash - measles was never thought to be mild! Even though most people recover, it is only after weeks of serious symptoms, including a very high fever, cough, irritability, and decreased appetite.
there were ‘near zero’ measles deaths by 1960 - is 350 to 600 measles deaths a year near zero? While there is no doubt that improved sanitation, hygiene, and nutrition decreased mortality rates in the early part of the 19th century, that effect had stalled by the 1940s.
the risk of death from the measles vaccine is greater than from a natural measles infection - this is not true, as they are counting VAERS reports and are looking at measles deaths after the measles vaccines had gotten measles infections under good control.
that measles vaccine immunity wanes - it doesn’t. Two doses of the MMR vaccines provide life-long protection in nearly all cases. What about titers? They miss the anamnestic effect and aren’t necessary to show immunity.
that vaccinated people are often the source of measles outbreaks - shedding from MMR vaccines does not cause outbreaks and wild type measles virus is found in all measles outbreaks
That’s a lot!
A lot of misinformation!
Stop listening to them.
Get vaccinated and help Stop the Outbreaks.
