Not surprisingly, with the announcement of yet another measles death, as if on cue, Children’s Health Defense is spreading another myth about MMR vaccine deaths.

A myth about MMR vaccine deaths that is easy to refute.
Children’s Health Defense Is Spreading Another Myth About MMR Vaccine Deaths
How easy?
Well, just consider how they determined that there are so many of these so-called MMR vaccine deaths…
To get to their inflated number, they:
start with a report of VAERS data that found about 6.4 MMR vaccine deaths per year if you average the last 25 or 30 years
then move the decimal place over two places because the Lazarus report commissioned by HHS a few years ago looked at how many adverse reactions are actually reported to VAERS, and “he said they determined about 1%, so that 6.4 deaths per year is more like 640 deaths per year.”
That’s it!
It’s not based on statistics or real reports, just VAERS data, which don’t prove causality, and manipulating that data because they have misinterpreted another report about how many reactions are reported to VAERS.
Of course, their math doesn’t really work.
Again, they are starting with VAERS data, not a true count of vaccine deaths.
And while the Lazarus report (also called the Harvard study) did find that reports to VAERS were underreported, they were talking about all possible reactions, including minor reactions, like pain and fever.
On the other hand, another study found that more serious vaccine reactions are typically reported to VAERS, so you can’t use the Lazaraus report to simply move your decimal places over and make up a new number.
Lastly, even if you really did count all the VAERS deaths as true vaccine deaths, they would be after over 10 million doses of the MMR vaccine are given each year.
So the risk of death from the vaccine would be about 1 in 2 million doses.
And that’s compared to the risk of death if you get measles that is between 1 in 1,000 to 1 in 10,000.
All of which, especially with record-breaking numbers of measles cases these last few years, helps you understand how important it is to get vaccinated and protected.
MMR vaccines are safe, with few risks, and very necessary.

These organizations due tremendous harm with claims that don't stand up to even the slightest scrutiny. Seeing articles like this that lay out obvious flaws in logic in the arguments that are (together with an anti-vax executive branch) leading to declines in vaccine uptake sets my teeth on edge.
CHD and RFK need to be shut down
