ACOG’s Maternal Immunization Schedule
The Real Truth about Vaccines
Like the AAP, ACOG has issued their own immunization schedule, this one for pregnant, postpartum, and lactating patients and their infants.
It’s another reminder that RFK, Jr.’s changes to the CDC immunization schedule are not science based and are not safe.
ACOG’s Maternal Immunization Schedule
Of course, the biggest differences are about recommendations related to COVID and flu vaccines.

While most experts, including ACOG and the AAP, recommend that pregnant women continue to get a flu and COVID vaccine, the latest CDC schedule, influenced by Secretary RFK, Jr., leaves them out.
Together with the RSV and Tdap vaccines, the flu and COVID vaccines can help to keep both pregnant mothers healthy and their baby safe in the months before they develop immunity from their own vaccines.
And if you don’t get an RSV vaccine during your pregnancy - at least two weeks before you deliver - be sure your baby gets a dose of Beyfortus or Enflonsia (monoclonal antibody shots) during their first RSV season.
Bottom line - the ACOG immunization schedule reinforces that vaccines are safe and necessary during pregnancy.
