The usual suspects…

Is the Measles Death Rate in Children Only 1 in 106 Million?

Don’t be surprised though.

It is a well known tactic of anti-vaccine influencers to downplay the risks of vaccine preventable diseases, like measles.

Of course, all while they are also overstating the risks of vaccines.

But how can they think that the death rate from measles is less than 1 in 106 million children, when everyone else knows that it is more like 1 to 2 deaths for every 1,000 people with measles?

I mean, think about it…

Considering that there are only about 75 million children in the United States, that would be fewer than one death each year.

And that actually makes it easy to see that they are talking about the risk of death in a well vaccinated population, where measles in under good control, not the risk of dying during outbreaks or when you get measles.

It’s certainly not an unvaccinated child’s risk of dying, as we see more measles outbreaks, as fewer people get vaccinated.

It’s not even a child’s risk of dying with measles last year when two unvaccinated kids in Texas died!

So instead of this misleading measles death rate that is being promoted by anti-vaccine influencers, what should you be thinking about?

You should be thinking about your child’s risk of getting measles, especially if they are not vaccinated and protected with two age-appropriate doses of the MMR vaccine.

Why?

Because:

• people with measles are contagious for up to 4 days before they have a fever and 4 days after they develop a rash

• the measles virus remains infectious for up to 2 hours after a person with measles leaves an area

• if you are not vaccinated, you have a 90% chance of getting sick with measles if you are exposed and your risk is probably greatest if you regularly spend time with a lot of other people who are not vaccinated

• we are regularly hearing about exposures, especially in outbreak areas, at schools, churches, pharmacies, grocery stores, and restaurants.

• more people are getting measles without knowing how or when they were exposed

And of course, measles cases and outbreaks continue to reach record levels that we haven’t seen in over 30 years.

So if your child does get measles, you should know that their risk of dying is much higher than 1 in 106 million.

That’s a made up statistic to help people feel better about their decision to skip or delay their child’s MMR vaccine, leaving them at risk to get measles.

Instead, your child’s risk of dying if they get sick with measles is the traditional 1 to 2 deaths for every 1,000 people with measles, even if they are otherwise healthy. Of course, if they are malnourished, immunosuppressed, or have chronic medical problems, then their risk of dying because they have measles is much higher.

Also, even if they survive having measles, which is likely, know that measles isn’t a mild disease that you want your child to have. And besides having immunity, which you just earned, but could have had with an MMR vaccine, there are no benefits to having measles.

At best, a typical case of measles, without complications, is a good week of a high fever - up to 104°F (40°C) to 105°F (40.6°C), deep cough, red, watery eyes that cause a dislike for bright light, sore throat, and irritability.

Bottom Line - don’t let anti-vaccine influencers scare you away from vaccinating and protecting yourself and your family. Don’t get measles and don’t start a measles outbreak.

“In our study, based on ELISA serology, the infectivity rate among family members was 83%, but 46% of those infected were asymptomatic.”

It’s important to understand that the phenomenon of asymptomatic pertussis infections is not new though.

In the study, Intrafamilial spread of pertussis, they found that 46% of the secondary cases were asymptomatic and many were vaccinated - with a DPT vaccine. And many others actually had a history of having a natural pertussis infection!

Importantly, know that these asymptomatic cases are simply people who tested positive for pertussis. They are not people who are sick with any of the symptoms of pertussis.

Also know that it wasn’t just one old study that came to this conclusion.

“In a recent local epidemic in eastern Finland, we found asymptomatic individuals with positive cultures and serologic findings who remained healthy without antibiotic therapy. We think that serologic responses in asymptomatic persons represent a natural booster phenomenon continuously occurring in relatives of patients with pertussis and thus maintaining herd immunity. This view is supported by earlier reports suggesting that persisting immunity in vaccinated populations depends on subclinical or mild infections and that pertussis vaccines are more effective in protecting against disease than in protecting against infection.”

And that they thought that these asymptomatic infections might be a good thing!

Are Asymptomatic People with Pertussis Contagious?

But are these asymptomatic people with pertussis contagious?

“An important issue is whether these asymptomatic persons can be a source of infection. Pertussis is transmitted by droplets, and we think that asymptomatic individuals with pertussis do not present a potential risk to their contacts, whereas those with an atypical cough play an important role in the dissemination of the disease.”

Now that wouldn’t be a good thing…

“Our results demonstrate a high prevalence of subclinical infection in household contacts of pertussis cases, which may play a substantial role in the ongoing transmission of disease.”

And fortunately, that’s not what most studies have actually found!

“No shedding of Bordetella pertussis was detected in systematically collected environmental samples. Bordetella pertussis colonization can be deliberately induced and leads to a systemic immune response without causing pertussis symptoms.”

Instead, most have simply found asymptomatic pertussis infections, not symptomatic pertussis disease, and that those who are colonized aren’t actually shedding and may not be getting others sick!

“We have not directly inferred pertussis transmission, and acknowledge that a linear relationship may not exist between qPCR signal intensity and infectiousness.”

Others have found that asymptomatic pertussis infections have likely always been common.

In fact, one study found that nearly 5% of asymptomatic, healthy school aged children in China tested PCR positive for pertussis.

“In the present study, pertussis outbreaks and patients with typical pertussis symptoms were not reported in the schools of the 4 provinces during a period of 3 months before and after the start of the study. These children were on their school summer holiday when they were recruited. Therefore, it is unlikely that these samples were collected during school outbreaks of pertussis.”

And they could not correlate these cases to any recent outbreaks, which is not what you would expect if asymptomatic pertussis infections were contagious!

What’s Causing Outbreaks of Pertussis?

But if asymptomatic pertussis infections aren’t causing outbreaks of pertussis, then what is?

Well, one factor could simply be that more cases are being detected by the pertussis PCR test that was introduced in 1989.

This detection bias would be responsible for finding more asymptomatic cases too.

And maybe even finding more false positives - symptomatic people with other reasons to have a cough, but who coincidentally test positive for asymptomatic pertussis.

“This report describes two hospital outbreaks and one community outbreak of respiratory illness during 2004--2006 in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Tennessee that were attributed initially to pertussis. However, subsequent investigations revealed negative or equivocal laboratory results and epidemiologic and clinical features atypical of pertussis, suggesting that pertussis was not the cause of these outbreaks. The findings in this report underscore the need for thorough epidemiologic and laboratory investigation of suspected pertussis outbreaks when considering extensive control measures.”

This might also explain the rise in finding people with asymptomatic pertussis, as they didn’t seem to exist when they were looking for them by doing cultures.

“In order to determine whether healthy adults can be of importance for the spread of pertussis the nasopharyngeal flora of 391 healthy individuals working in close contact with children was investigated during the height of a pertussis epidemic. Only 1 carrier of Bordetella pertussis was found, even though all individuals were exposed to the organism during the study period through their work.”

Also though, like cases of measles, it is likely that pertussis cases have been rising as we see an increase in vaccine hesitancy.

These are the people with full-blown pertussis.

These are the infants who are dying because they are sick with pertussis.

This is not to deny that there may be some problems with our pertussis vaccines.

But the answer to imperfect pertussis vaccines is not to skip getting vaccinated. It is to get vaccinated and protected with the best vaccines we have until we have better vaccines!

The pediatrician who reportedly caters to vaccine hesitant parents supposedly got her own child into a private Montessori School and a local public school using fake vaccine records.

Why Is a New York Pediatrician Being Charged for Vaccine Fraud?

Specifically, Dr. Shareen Ismail of the Alexandre Centre for Children’s Health in Fayetteville, New York, was indicted by a grand jury on 21 felonies, including that, over three years, she:

• used computer login information for New York’s official Immunization Information System stolen from a Rochester nurse (a nurse who had previously worked with Dr. Ismail at an urgent care center) to create fake vaccine records for her son and she did it on five separate occasions over two years

• used these forged vaccines records to try to enroll her son into two schools

• asked a nurse at the Onondaga County health department to manually put the fake records back into New York’s official Immunization Information System after they had been flagged as fake and deleted

Among her charges are providing a forged health exam and vaccination form to her child’s schools, tampering with public records, identity theft, and computer trespass.

In addition, state health officials want to review the health records of about 50 of her patients to see if they are fraudulent too.

What’s next?

Vaccine Fraudsters

If convicted, Dr. Shareen Ismail will join:

• Dr. Ming Te Lin, the Illinois pediatrician who lost his license after giving his patients fake vaccines made from cat saliva and vodka and then signing state forms certifying he had given pediatric patients their conventional shots

• Steven Rodriguez, a nurse at a clinic in New York, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for distributing fake COVID-19 vaccination cards and entering false information into the New York State Immunization Registry

• Juli Mazi, a California-licensed naturopathic doctor pleaded guilty today for scheming to sell homeoprophylaxis immunization pellets and for falsifying COVID-19 vaccination cards by making it appear that customers had received the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-authorized Moderna vaccine. She was helped by licensed advanced practice pharmacist Ranna Shamiya, now a Waldorf school board member, Jason Costanza, and Jaimi Jansen.

• Jasmine Clifford (AntiVaxMomma), of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, who was sentenced to 18-36 months in prison after pleading guilty to selling at least 250 forged COVID-19 vaccination cards for $200 a piece, including some vaccine cards to essential workers, including hospital, nursing home and school staff. with Nadayza Barkley, they entered the fake vaccine records into the NY state vaccine database.

• Jeannette Breen, a midwife in New York, was fined $300K for providing parents with homeopathic vaccine pellets and then creating fake immunization records for nearly 1,500 school-aged children throughout New York State.

• Julie DeVuono, a pediatric nurse practioner in New York made millions forging COVID-19 vaccination cards and uploading false vaccination information to the New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS). She “agreed to forfeit criminal proceeds totaling the sum of $1,252,540.63” and surrendered her professional licenses as a Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Professional Nurse.

• Sandra Miceli, an holistic nurse practioner in Webster, New York, was fined $55K for inputting over 500 fake vaccine records into the New York State Immunization Information System (NYSIIS).

• Todd Anderson, was arrested for making and selling fake COVID vaccine cards at his bar in California

• Dr. Michael Kirk Moore Jr. was indicted for destroying COVID vaccines, giving people fraudulent vaccine cards, and giving minors saline shots so that they thought they had gotten a COVID vaccine. The charges against him were later dropped by Donald Trump’s attorney general, Pam Bondi.

• Latoya Latrese Carey, of LaBelle, Florida, was convicted of using a veterinarian’s signature stamp to forge the rabies vaccination certificates for unvaccinated dogs.

• Chloe Mrozak, used a fake COVID vaccine card, with Moderna misspelled as Maderna, to try to fly to Hawaii during the pandemic. Charges against her were eventually dropped, as it would have been too much trouble to extradite her back to Hawaii…

• Tangtang Zhao, a Walgreens pharmacist in Chicago, sold at least 630 blank COVID vaccination cards to people who were not vaccinated. He was sentenced to one year of federal probation and fined $5,600.

They join the medical providers who got in trouble for issuing fake medical exemptions.

They put everyone at risk, as fake vaccines and fake vaccination records can help to keep outbreaks going.

Diphtheria used to be a major cause of childhood deaths. Now it’s back in Australia

A death that is all the more tragic because diphtheria is a vaccine-preventable disease.

A Diphtheria Death in Australia

A tragedy that is unfolding because “vaccine coverage has waned since the COVID pandemic.”

And this has led to a surge in cases of diphtheria, including:

• 132 cases in the Northern Territory

• 75 cases in Western Australia

• six cases in South Australia

• up to five cases in Queensland

While the majority of the cases are cutaneous diphtheria, a significant number, nearly 30%, have been classified as the far more serious type of respiratory diphtheria.

Caused by the Corynebacterium diphtheriae bacteria, children and adults with respiratory diphtheria can get very sick if not quickly treated with diphtheria antitoxin and antibiotics. Tragically, even with treatment though, up to 5 to 10% of patients with respiratory diphtheria can die!

So why haven’t there been more deaths during this diphtheria outbreak in Australia?

Fortunately, many of the cases have occurred in people who are at least partially vaccinated.

That has likely led to milder symptoms than they would have had if they were completely unvaccinated.

Bottom line - if you want to avoid diphtheria, stay up-to-date on your DTaP and Tdap vaccinations!

And the only time he does, it is to blame something or someone else for their deaths. It is never simply that measles is a life-threatening infection that mostly kills those who are unvaccinated.

Aaron Siri Promotes the Benefits of Having Measles

Instead, he pushes the idea that having measles is good for you!

It’s not.

Well, there is maybe the benefit of a few extra months of immunity for your infant vs. maternal immunity that is vaccine induced. That can mean infants need to get an early MMR in an outbreak situation…

But then there is the fact that measles is a life-threatening infection, with complications like pneumonia and encephalitis, plus the risk of death from SSPE, a late complication of having measles.

And then add on that people with measles can suffer from immune amnesia for at least two or three years.

“One of the most unique—and most dangerous—features of measles pathogenesis is its ability to reset the immune systems of infected patients. During the acute phase of infection, measles induces immune suppression through a process called immune amnesia. Studies in non-human primates revealed that MV actually replaces the old memory cells of its host with new, MV-specific lymphocytes. As a result, the patient emerges with both a strong MV-specific immunity and an increased vulnerability to all other pathogens.”

Immune amnesia that leaves you more susceptible to other infections, including some infections that they may have already had!

Now that doesn’t sound like a benefit of having measles, does it?

And it is not something that Aaron Siri ever mentions…

“The bottom line is that, prior to the introduction of the vaccine, measles was considered a mild childhood infection, like chickenpox. The ecological relationship humans developed with measles through millennia did not eliminate measles; and having had measles confers survival benefits that appear to far exceed the infection’s negative effects.”

Instead, Aaron Siri cherry-picks a few small studies, leaving out all the studies that contradict his studies that find benefits, to try to make his case that measles is good for you.

For example, while he touts a study that says measles may protect against allergic disease in children, he doesn’t mention all the other studies that found it didn’t! Or the studies that found that MMR vaccination is protective against allergies and asthma.

Similarly, he talks about a single study in Japan which found an association between measles and mumps infections with lower risks of mortality from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, a study that didn’t check titers and simply went by self-reporting, even though nearly all the people in the study should have had those infections in the pre-vaccine era.

Lastly, the evidence that measles infections prevent cancer is a single, poorly done, non-peer reviewed study and a few case reports that showed temporary cancer remissions after people had measles.

Measles doesn’t prevent cancer.

What can prevent cancer? Several vaccines, including Gardasil and the hepatitis B vaccines!

Aaron Siri Thinks Measles Is a Mild Disease

Aaron Siri also tries to make the case that measles is a mild disease.

How can he say measles is a mild disease?

“Scanning down from the top of the table, you’ll note that when a vaccine was introduced for each disease, U.S. deaths were already rare.”

Because Aaron Siri thinks that 400 deaths a year from measles is rare.

And he is okay with thousands of children dying each and every year from vaccine preventable diseases!

Are you?

But don’t you get life-long immunity after having a natural measles infection?

Sure.

But you have to earn it.

You have to endure a week or more of a high fever and other symptoms of measles and the risk of death!

Or you can just get vaccinated and protected and have that same life-long immunity.

The Benefits of Measles Vaccines

What else does Aaron Siri leave out when talking about his supposed benefits of having measles?

“Consideration should be given to continuing measles vaccine even when measles has been eradicated.”

He doesn’t talk about the folks who think that the benefits of being vaccinated are so great, that we should continue to give measles vaccines even after we eradicate measles!

We find the measles vaccine led to large increases in educational attainment for both men and women, with the effects being concentrated in lower secondary school for women and split between lower and upper secondary school for men.”

A Pediatric Ivermectin Testimonial You Probably Haven’t Heard About

Not only does ivermectin and other natural cancer cures not work, they can actually be harmful.

And not just harmful in that you aren’t getting a real treatment for your cancer!

Ivermectin and other natural cancer cures can actually be toxic.

There have been many such cases!

• Haydn Owen Jones, while being treated for multiple myeloma, died of multiple organ failure after he took a herbalist’s remedy that included mistletoe

• a 74-year-old woman undergoing treatment for endometrial cancer, needed dialysis when toxic doses of vitamin C caused her to develop acute renal failure

• a 61-year-old woman in Colorado who had been taking cesium chloride (CsCl) as an alternative treatment for her breast cancer died a week after injecting a large dose around a mass in her breast.

• more than a few patients have developed symptoms of cyanide poisoning after taking laetrile to try to treat their cancer and some have died, including a 17-year-old with astrocytoma who refused post-operative radiation treatment.

  

• a 52-year-old male with chronic lymphocytic leukemia was diagnosed with vitamin D poisoning after he had consumed high doses of vitamin D for a long time. He developed hypercalcemia and acute renal failure.

So not only do these natural cancer “cures” not work…

“In a large study, patients with nonmetastatic breast, lung, or colorectal cancer who chose alternative therapies had substantially worse survival than patients who received conventional cancer treatments.”

But they can actually kill you!

Well, if the rumors are true, it seems that Donald Trump forgot, because he has doubled-down on the anti-vaccine messaging in a new interview with Sharyl Attkisson!

Donald Trump Says Children are Being Given Too Many Vaccines

In an interview that has gotten praise from Alex Jones, Donald Trump tells Sharyl Attkisson that:

• I believe in vaccines, but you know, I think we were up to 88 vaccines. - not true, there are only 16 vaccines on the childhood immunization schedule

• And I really feel that vaccines, if they were given in smaller quantities, they want to cut some out. And that’s good too. 82 so many. If you look at Denmark and other countries, you have 12-14, I think 17, and we have like 82. - Even if you are counting doses of vaccines, there are neither 88 nor 82 doses of vaccines on the US immunization schedule. That’s an inflated count to try to make you think that kids get too many vaccines.

• But I look at these beautiful little babies, and they get a VAT, I mean, like a big glass of, of stuff pumped into their bodies. And I think it’s a very negative thing to do. And I would like to see it. I’m not doing this in terms of Bobby or not. I hope they agree with that. But that’s just my opinion. - Fortunately, most people do not agree with any of this and understand that it is nonsense.

• I would love to see much smaller shots, like four visits to the doctor, and I think you would have a much better result with the autism. - Vaccines are not associated with autism, and it is a shame that the President of the United States doesn’t understand that.

Of course, none of this is true and most of it doesn’t even make any sense!

Children neither get 88 nor 82 vaccines!

They don’t even get 88 or 82 does of vaccines.

And they neither get a VAT nor a glass size dose of vaccines!

What they do get, looking at the vaccine numbers, is protection against 18 different vaccine preventable disease from about 56 doses (including yearly flu vaccines) of 15 different vaccines.

And if using combination vaccines and the nasal spray flu vaccine, that could mean as few as 27 individual shots and your child would still be completely vaccinated and protected!

Vaccines that are safe and necessary.

You should also be aware that it is very likely that neither would have died had they been vaccinated.

And yes, Mennonites, like the Amish, do vaccinate!

Two Texas Children Did Not Have to Die of Measles

As this year’s measles case counts continue to rise, it is no surprise that anti-vaccine influencers are panicking and are bringing back the idea that the two unvaccinated children in Texas didn’t actually die because they had measles last year.

Why?

They are prepping people for the next measles deaths!

Deaths that are almost certainly coming if the measles case counts continue to rise.

And measles case counts that will continue to rise if more people don’t get vaccinated and protected.

Two Texas Children Did Die of Measles!

Anti-vaccine influencers are likely also still pushing the idea that the two unvaccinated Texas children didn’t die with measles because they don’t want to think about the alternative…

And again, that’s the simple fact that they did not have to die with measles.

They could have been vaccinated and protected, which likely would have prevented their getting measles.

It certainly would have prevented them from getting a life-threatening case of measles!

Instead, cognitive dissonance (or the millions they are paid) pushes them to post error filled screeds claiming that:

• the decline in measles deaths have been unrelated to measles vaccines - no one doubts that improved sanitation, hygiene, and nutrition had a very big effect on reducing deaths at the beginning of the 20th century, but there is also no doubt that the effect plateaued by the 1940s. Vaccines then worked to get measles and other diseases under better control.

• the fact that around 400 people, mostly children, died because of measles in the 1950s and 60s is not a huge deal - 400 children dying from measles each and every year is a huge deal, especially when you consider that kids, many otherwise healthy, were also dying from Hib, pneumococcal disease, pertussis, and other vaccine preventable diseases.

• measles vaccines have caused more deaths than they have saved - the idea of a lot of measles vaccine deaths is not in any way remotely true. And there are no benefits of having measles over being vaccinated.

• infants would be better off with if their mothers had natural immunity instead of vaccine induced immunity - this is not true, as you would know if you looked at how many infants died because they had measles in the pre-vaccine era

• immunity from the measles vaccine wanes - this is not true and is simply anti-vaccine influencers misinterpreting the role of measles titers and not understand the anamnestic response.

• the safety of the MMR vaccine is in question - this is not true. The MMR vaccine is known to be safe and effective.

And then, after all of this misinformation, Aaron Siri posts an ‘expert review’ of the medical records of the two unvaccinated children who died because they had measles.

An ‘expert review’ by Pierre Kory, who basically claims that these very sick children with measles were given the wrong antibiotics when they developed a secondary bacterial pneumonia.

An ‘expert review’ which we can’t confirm, because they never posted the complete medical records…

An ‘expert review’ that really only confirms that these two children with measles were indeed quite sick, even though anti-vaccine influencers repeatedly tell everyone that measles is a very mild disease!

A mild disease like we saw on the Brady Bunch, right?

I don’t remember any of the Brady kids making multiple trips to the ER, getting hospitalized, developing pneumonia, being put on a ventilator, or dying, do you?

And I certainly don’t want to see more kids dying because they have measles.

Fortunately, they don’t have to.

Get vaccinated. Get your kids vaccinated. Stop the Outbreaks!

How Many Babies Who Skipped Their Vitamin K Shot Have Died?

That’s mostly because most people think that it is safe to skip a baby’s vitamin K shot.

They don’t think about the risks of a baby dying with vitamin K deficiency bleeding.

They should though!

While it is not something that is routinely tracked, there are many more babies getting sick and dying from vitamin K deficiency bleeding than most people think.

There are at least a few infant deaths from vitamin K deficiency bleeding each year.

Anti-Vaccine Influencers Are All Out on Vitamin K

But if it is deadly, and can be prevented with a vitamin K shot, why do some parents listen to bad advice and put their babies at this extra risk?

Of course, it is because they listen to anti-vaccine influencers like Candace Owens.

Or Sherri Tenpenny…

Or Del Bigtree…

Or the organization the RFK Jr. started - Children’s Health Defense.

In addition to telling parents to skip or delay getting vaccines, they all push the dangerous advice that parents should also skip their baby’s vitamin K shot.

What’s the Harm in Listening to Bad Advice About Vitamin K

Bad advice that can be deadly…

Remember, whatever Candace Owens and others may think, babies are naturally born with low levels of vitamin K.

In fact, all mammals are born with low levels of vitamin K!

Why?

Well, one theory is that having low levels of vitamin K provides some kind of advantage against clotting and strokes as the fetal circulatory system has to undergo so many transitions at birth.

Whatever the reason, we know that:

• babies are born with low levels of vitamin K and that puts them at risk for early and late onset vitamin K deficiency bleeding, with brain bleeding, seizures, and sometimes death

• it takes time for a baby to start making enough vitamin K on their own

• vitamin K does not cross the placenta well, so delayed cord clamping does not help your baby get more vitamin K

• breastmilk is low in vitamin K

• a vitamin K shot can prevent both early and late onset vitamin K deficiency bleeding

• oral vitamin K drops only prevents early onset vitamin K deficiency bleeding and there is no FDA approved vitamin K drops for infants in the USA, limiting parents and pediatricians to use unregulated supplements

And of course, we know that vitamin K shots are safe for babies.

• The black box warning is about injected vitamin K and babies are given vitamin K subcutaneously, so they don’t have that risk.

• Vitamin K contains a very small amount of aluminum, not the large amounts that anti-vaccine influencers warn about.

• Vitamin K is not associated with leukemia!

• We have routinely been giving babies vitamin K shots since 1961!

We know that babies need this extra vitamin K when they are born.

At least they do if you want to reduce the unnecessary risk of their developing vitamin K deficiency bleeding when you skip your baby’s vitamin K shot.

Are you sure?

Most folks probably think that they know what it means to be up-to-date on their tetanus vaccination.

A couple of recent news stories of partially vaccinated people getting tetanus when they thought they were up-to-date leads me to think that there might be some confusion on when they should be getting a booster dose though…

What Does It Mean to Be Up-To-Date on Your Tetanus Shots?

Younger children are usually up-to-date on their routine tetanus vaccines if they are following the immunization schedule.

Still, they might require an extra dose if they get a dirty wound, and it has been more than five years since their last dose or if they haven’t completed their primary series yet (the first 3 doses of DTaP).

What about adults?

Adults get a routine tetanus shot every ten years to be up-to-date, right?

Technically, that’s true - in most cases.

Of course, it isn’t true if you get a dirty wound, and it has been more than five years since your last tetanus shot.

In that case, you would not be up-to-date, even if your last tetanus shot was within the last ten years. Instead, you would need an extra tetanus booster to avoid getting sick with tetanus.

When Do You Need an Extra Tetanus Shot?

Wait, what is a dirty wound?

A dirty wound is a tetanus prone wound that requires an extra tetanus shot if it has been over five years since your last booster and includes:

• all wounds, even a splinter, scratch, or abrasion, that is contaminated with dust, dirt, feces, saliva, or soil (remember that tetanus doesn’t really have anything to do with rusty nails - rust just means the nail is old and is more likely to be contaminated with dirt or dust that might be contaminated with tetanus spores, etc.);

• all puncture wounds; - these are hard to clean and deposit tetanus spores deep in your body where the bacteria can thrive

• all animal bites; - review the need for a rabies shot too

• all avulsions wounds (a separation or tearing away creating a flap of skin, etc.);

• all wounds resulting from flying or crushing objects;

• all burns;

• all frostbite; - these last injuries can create a lot of dead tissue in which tetanus bacteria can thrive

Also remember that a wound doesn’t necessarily have to be an injury!

An ingrown toenail or insect bite that gets contaminated with dirt can lead to tetanus if you aren’t up-to-date on your tetanus shots. And again, up-to-date in these cases would be a tetanus shot within the past five years.

On the other hand, if you have a clean, minor wound, you would likely be considered up-to-date, and you might not need an extra test shot, if your most recent tetanus shot was within the last ten years.

What if it was longer than ten years since your last tetanus shot?

Then you are late and should get caught up!

If in doubt whether your wound is clean and minor, or on the timing of your last tetanus shot, go ahead and get vaccinated.

You do not want to end up in the ICU, sick with tetanus…

Ivermectin Isn’t the First Cancer Cure Pushed by Alternative Medicine Providers

Long before anti-vaccine influencers and other alternative medicine providers began pushing ivermectin as a cure for turbo cancer, they were promoting many other natural cancer cures.

Have you heard of folks using the Gerson therapy (strict diet, coffee enemas, and supplements) as a cancer cure?

“The Gerson clinics make all sorts of claims about euphoric patients returning home, cured of their disease. But no follow-up is ever carried out. And whenever independent researchers have tracked Gerson patients, they have found that most had succumbed to cancer within five years of having been “cured” of the disease.”

What is Gerson therapy?

What about Hoxsey Therapy (restrictive diet and herbal tonics)?

Or Krebiozen, metabolic enzyme therapy, laetrile, megadoses of vitamin C, the Budwig diet (flaxseed oil mixed with cottage cheese and low-fat milk), shark cartilage (sharks do get cancer!), Burzynski antineoplaston therapy, NORI protocol, FitScript, black salve, German New Medicine, or cannabis oil?

Have you heard of all the people who have died because they skipped or delayed getting their cancer treated as they pursued these kinds of alternative treatments?

From Steve Jobs, Steve McQueen (died after being treated at a clinic in Mexico with hoax cancer treatments), Andy Kaufman (went to a psychic surgeon in the Philippines), and Coretta Scott King (died while being treated for ovarian cancer at a holistic clinic in Mexico) to many more people who only became famous for this choice, the victims include:

1. Kim Tinkham - was influenced by Oprah recommended The Secret to skip chemotherapy and died following ‘The pH Miracle’ regimen.

2. Sharyn Ainscough - died while using the Gerson protocol for her breast cancer

3. Jessica Ainscough - like her mother, she died while using Gerson therapy for her epithelioid sarcoma

4. Ananda Lewis - a former MTV VJ who had refused to get a mammogram for years because she was afraid of the radiation, she tried alternative treatments, including high dose vitamin C, when diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. Tragically, she died as it progressed to stage IV.

5. Paloma Shemirani - was only 23 years old when she died with non-Hodgkin lymphoma because she skipped chemotherapy

6. Makayla Sault - was only 11 when her parents stopped her chemotherapy for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) to try traditional indigenous medicine and other alternatives instead. She died soon after.

7. Corissa Macklin-Rice - had terminal cancer because she rejected conventional treatments in favor of the Gerson protocol and then went to Peru to be treated by a Shaman with frog poison and plant-based hallucinogenic treatments. She died while being treated at Amaru Spirit natural medicine and holistic healing center in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.

8. Chad Green - was only 3 years old when he died after his parents stopped his chemotherapy for acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) and fled to Tijuana, Mexico so that they could treat his cancer with laetrile.

9. Josia Cotto - a 6-year-old with an inopperable brain tumor who had been getting chemotherapy and radiation, but died shortly after being treated by Stanislaw Burzynski.

10. Haydn Owen Jones - while being treated for multiple myeloma, he died of multiple organ failure after he took a herbalist’s remedy that included mistletoe

11. Laura Hymas - was treated by Stanislaw Burzynski. She died, after being touted as a success story, although her brain tumor was said to be untreatable in the UK.

12. Helen Lawson - was treated with black salve by Dennis Wayne Jensen for her ovarian cancer. She died a few weeks later as the black salve had eaten her flesh away…

13. Katie Britton-Jordan - died with a treatable form of breast cancer and instead sought alternative treatments, focusing on a vegan diet and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. She died.

14. Thomas Navarro - a 4-year-old whose medulloblastoma was treated with surgery, but his parents refused recommended chemotherapy and radiation. They instead opted for natural treatments in Mexico and then antineoplastons at

    Stanislaw Burzynski’s clinic in Houston. He died a few years later.

15. Margaret Antwi - died while taking an herbal treatment for her melanoma sold by Dr. Christine Daniel.

16. Sam Ravelle - refused chemotherapy when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, choosing instead to drink her own urine and alternative cancer therapies. She even promoted Ty and Charlene Bollinger’s Truth About Cancer series. And likely died soon after.

17. Christina Bedient - a 10-year-old who died after being treated by Stanislaw Burzynski for her brain cancer.

    

18. Mari Lopez - claimed her cancer was cured by a vegan diet, but it didn’t and she died

19. Sean Walsh - at age 18 years, he was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma, which went into remission with chemotherapy. Unfortunately, it returned a few years later and he opted for treatment at the Northern Baja Gerson Centre in Mexico and a Merseyside homeopathy clinic. He died a few years later.

20. Elizabeth Ashley King - died at age 12 years with untreated bone cancer. Her parents, Christian Scientists, were charged with child abuse for letting her die.

21. Kris Ann Lewin - a Christian Science child who died at age 13 years of untreated bone cancer

22. Justin Barnhart - a two-year-old who died after his parents, members of the Faith Tabernacle Church, failed to seek medical treatment for his Wilms tumor, which has survival rates of over 90%!

23. Michaela Jakubczyk-Eckert - stopped chemotherapy, opting for alternative treatment for her breast cancer.

24. Sarah Valentine - opted for a vegan diet to treat her breast cancer. She died a few years later.

25. Mario Rodríguez - was 21 years old when he died while his leukemia was being treated by José Ramón Llorente, a homeopath.

26. Valerie… - a 14-year-old in Austria who died after her cancer was treated with ginger tea, vitamin shots, energy healers, hand layers, and shamanic healers. Her parents received a sentence of 13.5 months each, suspended, after her death.

27. Sylvia Millecam - a popular Dutch actress who died after her breast cancer was treated by Jomanda, a faith healer, and two alternative providers who had convinced her that she didn’t have cancer.

28. Joseph Hofbauer - a 7-year-old whose parents refused chemotherapy and radiation when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, opting for nutritional and metabolic therapy, including injections of laetrile in Jamaica. The case went to court, which allowed the parents to continue alternative treatments. He died in the Bahamas a few years later.

29. Tamar Jemima Stitt - a 10-year-old with liver cancer whose parents refused chemotherapy and opted for clay wraps and other natural cancer cures in El Salvador after consulting with Alastair Nuttall. She died a few months later.

30. Oshin Kiszko - a 6-year-old who had surgery for a brain tumor, but his parents refused recommended chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The case went to court, which allowed him to only receive palliative care, and he soon died.

31. Carissa Gleeson - tried high dose vitamin C and other alternatives to treat her cancer, before finally turning to conventional therapies. She died a few years later.

32. Cassandra Callender - refused chemotherapy when she was 17 with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but a court intervened, and she was successfully treated. When a new mass was found in her lung the next year, she opted for alternative treatments with Ty and Charlene Bollinger. By the time she agreed to conventional treatments, it was too late. She died when she was 22 years old, after spending four months in hospice care.

33. Daniel Hauser - was diagnosed with Stage IIB nodular sclerosing Hodgkin disease when he was 13 years old. His Catholic parents rejected chemotherapy and opted instead for Nemenhah, a Native American healing practice. A court ordered chemotherapy, which he eventually completed, after first fleeing from the state to avoid it. He is now in remission.

34. Anthony Hauser - Daniel Hauser’s father was diagnosed with leukemia a few years after he went into remission. He opted for treatment with dietary therapies and soon died.

35. Abraham Cherrix - refused chemotherapy when he was 15 years old for his Hodgkin’s lymphoma, triggering a legal battle in which the court intervened to make sure he continued chemotherapy and radiation. In a settlement, the family agreed to some treatment, including radiation, that didn’t actually cure his cancer. As an adult, he finally accepted chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, acknowledging that he would have died if the court had not stepped in. He is now in remission at age 35!

36. Irena Stoynova - she nearly died while trying to treat her non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma with juicing, before finally turning to conventional treatments

These are not stories that you will hear from Ty and Charlene Bollinger or others promoting fake cancer cures.

“In this study, patients who received complementary medicine (CM) were more likely to refuse additional conventional cancer treatment (CCT), and had a higher risk of death. The results suggest that mortality risk associated with CM was mediated by the refusal of CCT.”

Instead, they push anonymous testimonials (or hide their last names…) from people just starting their fake cures, making it nearly impossible to find them later to see what happens to them. Or they don’t mention that they had also used conventional treatments, which is what actually cured their cancer.

“The second independent review of Burzynski came in 1985, again from Canada. This time investigators from the Canadian Bureau of Prescription Drugs reviewed the records of thirty-six patients. Thirty-two had died from cancer without benefit from antineoplastons. Of the four remaining patients, one had died after a slight regression of the tumor; one had died after being stable for a year; and two were still alive at the time of the survey. Of the two who were still alive, one had metastatic lung cancer and the other cervical cancer—neither had been cured.”

They tell you that ‘we’ are hiding the cure for cancer and that chemotherapy doesn’t work or will make you worse, while trying to sell you expensive alternatives that definitely won’t work.

Stop listening to them!

Conventional treatments are your best chance of treating and surviving cancer. Get a second opinion if your provider suggests alternative remedies (yoga, massage therapy, healthy eating plans, etc.) and doesn’t make it clear that they are to complement your conventional treatment, not replace it.

Mostly, it would be that we would soon be inundated with misinformation from anti-vaccine influencers.

Peter McCullough Is Already Pushing Ivermectin for Hantavirus Infections

And true to form, they were ready!

Peter McCullough even began pushing ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine as a way of protecting your ‘personal sovereignty against hantavirus.’

“People can become infected with hantavirus when they breathe in air that is contaminated with the virus. Particles containing hantavirus get into the air when dried mouse urine, saliva, or droppings are stirred up.”

What is hantavirus?

Of course, there is no evidence that ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, or any other drug can prevent or treat hantavirus infections.

What can you expect?

I bet that we can expect to see these same folks pushing a lab-leak conspiracy theory soon.

Actually, I am kind of surprised that they haven’t been promoting that one yet.

“An investigation has been launched after it was revealed 323 virus samples went missing from Virology Laboratory in 2021 in a “major breach” of biosecurity protocol, Health Minister Tim Nicholls announced on Monday.

After all, a lab in Australia did misplace some hantavirus samples a few years ago!

Or will they claim that this is all the fault of Anthony Fauci because he was doing gain-of function research on the hantavirus. Maybe they will even discover that Fauci has been working with The Syndicate and has been using the hantavirus as a cover story and is spreading the virus by using genetically modified bees. Hantavirus Hype or Hazard

For most folks, know that hantavirus is a very rare infection with specific risks of getting exposed to mice or rats.

What is hantavirus?

It is not something that happens on a typical cruise ship. In fact, this is the very first report of an outbreak.

There is a type of hantavirus in Argentina, the Andes virus, that can reportedly be spread from person to person.

We don’t know if this was the type that caused the hantavirus outbreak on the cruise ship, although the cruise did begin in Argentina.

Mostly know that you can get sick in other ways on a cruise ship, so take these steps to say healthy on your cruise.

And don’t listen to misinformation and conspiracy theories about hantavirus from anti-vaccine influencers!

Does it mean that someone in Perth, Australia is actually sick with polio?

What Does It Mean That Polio Was Detected in Perth Wastewater?

Fortunately, that’s not what it means.

Since there have been no reports of anyone being sick with polio, all that it means is that they have detected the poliovirus in wastewater samples?

Then, how did it get there?

Well, yeah, it does mean that someone who is infected with this vaccine-derived strain of poliovirus was in Perth.

“The national polio surveillance program has detected poliovirus in a wastewater sample taken from a wastewater catchment in Perth in mid-April 2026.

The surveillance system monitors wastewater for poliovirus and serves to provide an early warning on presence of the poliovirus in Australia.

The wastewater detection demonstrated evidence of a vaccine derived poliovirus Type 2 strain, similar to what has been detected in the wastewater of various countries globally in recent years, including in Africa, Europe and Papua New Guinea.”

But it doesn’t mean that they are sick or have any symptoms.

“This finding is most likely from someone who has travelled overseas and is shedding this virus strain.”

It is still a problem though.

After you get the oral polio vaccine, a live, attenuated strain of poliovirus, you can shed the vaccine strain. And rarely, the vaccine strain can mutate or revert so that it becomes less attenuated and can actually cause outbreaks of polio.

And that’s the danger here.

A danger to whom?

A danger to anyone who is exposed to this person and hasn’t been vaccinated, because then they could get polio.

How big of a danger?

Well, it is basically not a danger at all if you are vaccinated and protected against polio!

So if you have skipped or delayed getting your polio vaccines, then this would be a good time to get caught up.

Lastly, know that even with the danger of mutations, the oral polio vaccine is still necessary in some parts of the world where polio is not under good control.

And fortunately, we are very close to actually eradicating polio! Both wild polio and vaccine derived polio case counts are dropping more and more every year.

Or at least we will be if everyone gets vaccinated and protected…

Judging by the shelves filled with homeopathic ‘medicines’ at pharmacies and grocery stores, you are probably thinking that it has gotten more popular, right?

What Happened to Homeopathic Hospitals?

Believe it or not though, it used to much more popular than it is today.

When?

Before we had real medicine.

In the 1800s, they even had their own children’s homeopathic hospitals!

In fact, at their peak, there were over 100 homeopathic hospitals in the United States.

So what happened?

Again, real medicine happened.

After all, it likely became hard to watch your family members die in a homeopathic hospital being treated with diluted snake venom (Lachesis muta 30C), marsh tea (Ledum palustre), or the highly diluted saliva of a rabid dog (Lyssinum), when they could go to a real doctor or hospital and get treated with antitoxin when they had diphtheria, tetanus, or if they were exposed to rabies.

Well, regular doctors didn’t have that much in their medicine bag to treat their patients with at the time either. That’s one of the big reasons alternative treatments like homeopathy, chiropractic, and naturopathy were so popular at the time.

They were starting to though.

And of course, things really changed with the discovery of testing for spyhilis (1906), EKGs (1914), insulin (1921), vitamin D (1922), penicillin (1928), X-rays, and other medical treatments, etc.

That led to the collapse or fall of homeopathy and many other alternative therapies.

Why Do We Still Believe in Homeopathy?

Unfortunately, like many other things, homeopathy bounced back!

With the New Age movement and a yearning for natural treatments in the 1970s, homeopathy returned.

Of course, it still doesn’t work, but that doesn’t stop holistic and functional providers from pushing it on people.

People who don’t remember what really happened to it in the first place!

You know, the whole like cures like thing, the law of infinitesimal doses/the law of minimum dose (homeopathic meds become more potent as they become highly diluted/treatments work best as the lowest dose), and that the water homeopathic drugs are diluted in retains a memory of the original substance that was put in it?

Do you believe, as Samuel Hahnemann who founded homeopathy in 1796, that homeopathic medicines retained a ‘dematerialized spiritual force’ because homeopaths shook them violently during the dilution process?

I mean, that’s why you are taking heavily diluted wild duck, heart, and liver extract (Oscillococcinum) when you have the flu, right?

Vaccines that are important, as these diseases have not been eradicated and are coming back as more parents skip or delay vaccinating their kids.

What Vaccines Do Babies Get At Two Months?

And that’s why most parents still choose to vaccinate and protect their babies and when they are two months, get:

• DTaP - protects against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis or whooping cough

• IPV - protects against polio

• HepB - protects against the hepatitis B virus

• PCV (the pneumococcal vaccine, either Prevnar 20 or VAXNEUVANCE, a 15-valent vaccine) - protects against invasive Streptococcus pneumoniae, such as bacteremia and meningitis

• Hib - protects against invasive Haemophilus influenzae type b, such as epiglottitis and meningitis

• Rotavirus - protects against rotavirus

But understand that getting protected against these eight vaccine-preventable diseases doesn’t mean getting eight shots!

It doesn’t even mean getting six shots…

After all, most parents opt for a combination vaccine that combines many of the vaccines into a single shot.

Plus, the rotavirus vaccine is oral!

That’s how most infants are just getting two or three shots when they are two months old and are still fully vaccinated and protected.

Skipping or Delaying Your Baby’s Vaccines

But what if you want to skip or delay one or more of your baby’s vaccines?

Well, in addition to the risk that your baby could get one of these diseases while they are unprotected when following a non-standard, parent-selected, delayed protection alternative vaccine schedule, it would mean extra injections. That’s because you wouldn’t be able to take advantage of the combination vaccines.

And if anti-vaccine influencers have you concerned about vaccine ingredients, like aluminum, know that your baby will actually get less aluminum with a combination vaccine like Vaxelis vs. getting the shots separately.

Hopefully you are now ready to get your two-month-old vaccinated and protected!

• that the simultaneous administration of COVID-19 mRNA booster and seasonal influenza vaccines was associated with significant increases in reports of systemic reactions during days 0 to 7 following vaccination

So those of us who were watching the frequent ACIP meetings and following COVID vaccine safety studies were well aware of the V-Safe data!

Which makes you wonder why Sen. Ron Johnson thinks there was some conspiracy here…

Well, maybe it’s not too surprising, after all Sen Ron Johnson also pushed propaganda that young athletes were dying after their COVID vaccines.

And even when ‘needed medical care’ or ‘hospitalization’ was reported to V-Safe, guess what?

It didn’t always mean that it was related to being vaccinated!

“Reported inability to complete normal daily activities ranged from 10.6% among adults aged ≥65 years to 19.8% among adults aged 18–49 years. Receipt of medical care was reported by 0.8% of registrants; most received care via telehealth (0.3%) or clinic (0.3%) appointment. Hospitalization was reported by 55 (0.03%) registrants. Among 45 registrants with information about the hospitalization available from the v-safe call center or free text message response, 29 indicated that the hospitalization was unrelated to vaccination, 13 completed a VAERS report, and three did not wish to complete a VAERS report.”

In fact, the great majority weren’t related to their COVID vaccine.

I’m guessing Sen. Ron Johnson neglected to mention that in his UNMASKED committee hearing.

Instead, he goes with ideas of former employees who believed they knew how to do things better, even though many of the signals they supposedly could uncover in VAERS weren’t ever found on subsequent study.

There is no link between COVID vaccines and sudden cardiac death, Bell’s palsy, and pulmonary infarction, three of the “statistically significant safety signals for adverse events” that Ana Szarfman was supposed to be able to uncover with her new data mining system.

And safety signals like myocarditis and stroke were found and regularly reported about!

I’m also sure he didn’t mention that COVID vaccines are safe, with few risks, and are still necessary for those who are high risk and for all of us if a concerning variant emerges that makes it easier for everyone to get sick again.

Well, it’s been a while if you live in the United States or another country that has added the chickenpox vaccine to their immunization schedule.

Proof That Chickenpox Vaccines Are Working

Not surprisingly, countries that haven’t, still see a lot of chickenpox.

And complications from chickenpox…

In Denmark, for example, “Mild-to-moderately severe cases strain healthcare, causing increased helpline calls and posing a persistent hospitalization risk, especially for infants and children with underlying conditions.”

Which is further proof that chickenpox vaccines work!

Varivax, the first chickenpox vaccine was licensed in 1995, but it wasn’t until about 2008 that most kids had at least one dose of the vaccine. And by then, a booster dose had already been added to the schedule.

Together, this two dose schedule helped lead “to declines of >97% in varicella incidence and ≥90% in varicella-related hospitalizations and deaths.”

“A total of >10 500 varicella hospitalizations and 100 varicella deaths are now prevented annually in the United States as a direct result of vaccination and reduction in varicella-zoster virus circulation.”

That’s why you rarely see or hear about kids with chickenpox anymore.

And you especially don’t hear about kids dying because they had chickenpox anymore!

That’s because the chickenpox vaccine works.

Of course, we haven’t eliminated chickenpox, so intentionally unvaccinated children and adults do sometimes catch it.

But still, it is much less common than it used to be.

What else?

“The introduction of the varicella vaccine did, however, appear to affect rates of HZ in preteen children. Consistent with prior studies, we observed a decline in the incidence of HZ following the introduction of varicella vaccination among children <10 years of age. Our reported decline among children <10 years of age in the decade after widespread use of varicella vaccine (from 0.83 to 0.35 per 1000 PY between 1990–1994 and 2005–2007) is similar to the decline from 0.75 to 0.33 per 1000 PY reported between 2000 and 2004 in another US study.”

Several studies have shown a protective effect against shingles in those who have received a chickenpox vaccine!

That’s right.

Shingles is likely to be more common in folks who had chickenpox naturally than in those who have vaccine induced immunity.

I say RFK Jr.’s Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee, because he chose new members for the IACC, just like he did for ACIP.

Recognize any of the names or the organizations with which they are associated?

It is a who’s who of anti-vaccine influencers and organizations who push unproven biomedical autism treatments.

And unlike previous years, there are very few actually autistic members on the IACC.

“ASAN is greatly concerned about the diminished representation of autistic people on the IACC. Our understanding is that of the 21 public members, all newly appointed, only three members are autistic – the bare minimum required by the Autism CARES Act. The immediate past IACC consisted of seven autistic members, one-third of the public membership.

ASAN also notes several alarming positions held by public members. We are concerned this will lead the IACC to recommend areas of focus for autism research that will not provide benefit to autistic people, if not endanger us, and negatively impact public health.

Several members have a long history of endorsing, promoting, and some practicing discredited and unsupported medical interventions for autism, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and chelation. Several autistic people have died due to HBOT and chelation. Other interventions, such as leucovorin have no immediately obvious health risks but lack the scientific evidence necessary to support its usage. A list of non- evidence-based treatments are cited. The IACC, NIH, HHS, or any part of the administration should not endorse or promote any treatment for autism or co-occurring conditions without substantial evidence base and rigorous safety testing.

Several members have a long history of supporting a variety of discredited positions about vaccines. Studies have found people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are often at higher risk of infection and severe outcomes from vaccine-preventable diseasesue to living in congregate or residential facilities or co-occurring immune conditions. Eroding vaccine confidence puts us at risk.

Several public members of the IACC have an exclusive or near-exclusive focus on causation and so-called “cures” that is extremely out of step with the research priorities of the autistic community. Autism heritability is ~80%,11 with other elements of causation predominantly related to factors like parental age, maternal obesity, and maternal infections during pregnancy.12 Increases in autism diagnosis are largely understood to be due to increase in access to screening and diagnosis, improved diagnostic tools, and methodological changes in studies measuring prevalence. We are here and we’re going to keep being around. Research focused on autism should primarily support autistic people who are alive. We are best supported by research with the goals to alleviate symptoms of co-occurring conditions that cause pain or discomfort, improved tools tosupport communication and independence, and improved services that further independence and enable autistic people to live in our communities.

We encourage the IACC’s entire membership, federal and non-federal, to set aside past personal beliefs, rely on science-backed evidence, and focus on research areas that best support autistic people. We stress that research this body recommends researchers pursue must be conducted in a manner consistent with best ethical practices. We have seen concerning practices out of HHS and CDC this past year we encourage the IACC to avoid. Human subjects research into practices that are ineffective or known to cause harm to autistic individuals should not be endorsed or encouraged by this committee. In the past year, we have seen concerning actions out of HHS and CDC to this effect, and we encourage absence.

The autistic community deserves an IACC that will prioritize its needs, not reopen old debates. We hope you heed these words.”

Before you jump on RFK Jr. for that, read what folks who are actually autistic have to say about facilitated communication and how it has helped them…

Still, it is clear that RFK Jr.’s IACC will promote research that will do little to support autistic children or adults or their families.

How about proof from an anti-vaccine influencer?

Proof That Vaccines Aren’t Associated With Autism

If you haven’t figured it out after looking at the above chart, know that autism rates are typically posted based on surveillance year.

And that is typically eight years after those kids were born.

Accordingly, if you redo the above chart using their birth year, you can see that the autism rates started to rise well before the vaccine coverage rate for the newborn hepatitis B dose did.

There goes that correlation!

In fact, few of the kids who were diagnosed with autism in the mid to late 1990s would have received a hepatitis B vaccine. Remember, they would have been born in the late 1980s or early 1990s before most babies got the vaccine.

So stop listening to anti-vaccine influencers talk about vaccines and autism!
